Anthony McDonald, Client Journey Specialist

Anthony found his home at Cache Valley Counseling in August of 2022 and is very happy to be there. He was always looking for a place where he wasn’t just going through the motions to collect a paycheck but rather a place where he could serve others and help struggling people.

He loves how everyone at CVC is so kind and accommodating and values the organization's approach to staffing as well as how much they truly care about what they do for others. Outside of his daily tasks at the clinic, he is very passionate about helping those who cannot help themselves: impoverished people overseas, children who are at risk, and elderly folks.

He does have a history of mental health struggles himself, which he has made significant progress in. This creates an understanding within him when he is helping people to get scheduled, as he can relate on a deep level with most of what individuals struggle with.

He really values assisting people in getting the help that they so desperately need and deserve and appreciates having the opportunity to be a part of that process!

Anthony has several hobbies and interests that keep him busy. One thing he enjoys is working on his home and learning how to do things that he has not done before. Some of our staff like to joke about his bathroom remodel that has taken over a year now! He also enjoys hiking, fishing, and anything outdoors. His favorite thing of all is to travel and experience new places, food, cultures, and landscapes.

He has 2 children; one that is grown and out of the home (girl) and one that is halfway there (boy). He loves being a father and watching his little ones grow. Anthony’s dream is to one day retire somewhere deep in the woods where there is peace, quiet, and serenity and have this oasis available to his future generations to enjoy!
